20 Wherefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he said, Because this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and hath not obeyed my voice,

21 Therefore will I no more cast out before them any of the [a]nations, which Joshua left when he died,

22 That through them I may [b]prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the Lord, to walk therein, as their fathers kept it, or not.
